Amazon itself has long earned money with audio books - as a CD sold through the webshop, which is still the core of the Amazon Empire, or as a download on the network service Audible, because even heard of Amazon. These audio books but the authors secondary exploitation of their paid work - if
Kindle a book aloud, it will clearly not be the case.

"You do not have the rights to a book read aloud to leave," said Paul Aiken, head of the Authors Guild, the Wall Street Journal. This would "audio rights" violated, and that "the copyright to derivative rights." In plain English: An author can be used for the audible secondary exploitation of his work once again ask for money, as he for a film adaptation of his substance should expect a contribution.

This law is the Kindle, with its automatic reading function, says Aiken.

The Kindle, however, is by no means the only device consisting of written words read out the text does. Add Apple Mac OS, for example, is such a feature already installed. "Text to speech" software, text files aloud, there are different versions and levels of quality, sometimes even as freeware.
