Farbspielereien with Gimp.

For red is green, the sky glows orange, violet smoke rises. With photo software Gimp can manipulate images and employ all sorts of experiments. In the third part of our workshops, we explain what the Farbmanipulationen software.

 

Even the most expensive camera does not automatically produce perfect pictures: An incorrect aperture, adverse weather conditions or poor lighting conditions can negatively affect the image quality. But with the free photo editing software Gimp can not only resolve these shortcomings - as in
Part one of the workshops shown - or experiment with black and white effects queue (

Funny or artistic effects can be achieved by one individual against another color just shared. Gimp offers a lot of practical commands - some work with shifts along the color, while others use the HSV color model (Hue, Saturation, Value) as the base.

It's best suited for such manipulations monochromatic images with large areas. For the screenshots to this article, we have a picture of the Harz narrow-chosen as an example, which contains a lot of red. For now all methods described, you should first duplicate the background level, to always compare the original to have.
